Rhinebeck Wrapup

I’m sure this title is popular around blogland today. None the less, it’s the title I’m using. I had a new point and shoot camera so I actually took some photos. I didn’t take very many though. I meant to take more but I forget I even have the camera half the time. And then there were photos of people acting in a non camera friendly way. Which happen to be my favorite type of photos but I’m sure no one wants to see themselves like that on flickr.

To me Rhinebeck is all about the people. Here’s who found us for the Spunky meetup:
In a little bit I’ll go back and add notes to the photos so you can see who is who.

And the usual suspects
SeeKay,Adrian, and Grasshopper Jen

My boyfriends (poor unlucky boys are stuck with that title)
David and John

I finally got to meet long time email and blog friends
Sherie and Margene.

And there were so many others that I was lucky enough to see again and to meet for the first time. Some have infamous photos now in my files and others just have their smiling faces running through my memory :) I always feel so lucky that I get to see you all and spend time with you each year. I also feel really lucky to get my hands on some new goodies.

From Spinner’s Loft
An orangey-red and a deep olive. Both destined to be sweaters someday. Both are Corrie,Finn, Ramboulet crosses.

I got to meet Toni from The Fold and scored an Olivewood Avi Wasserman Spindle from her.

And last but not least are the mystery bumps in my new spinning basket:
The one in the middle I picked up first but it’s something like 14 ounces. Enough for a sweater vest so I needed the one on the left because I really just wanted a shawl. And the one on the right is for my twin Ella, seen here working on a paper for Grad School.

It’s a little sad that Rhinebeck is done for the year…..I suppose now we can look forward to SPA.
